HSGSA Events 2017-2018

Throughout the year your HSGSA works hard to bring you events where you can connect with with professionals, alumni, and other students. Check back frequently to see what we have planned. If there are any events you would like the HSGSA to organize please let us know!

An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power Screening

The HSGSA is working with the University of Manitoba – Sustainability (Office of Sustainability) to instill economic, ecological, and social sustainability into university life. We now have a student representative sitting on the Sustainability committee, and together we invite anyone who is serious about campus sustainability and reducing our environmental footprint to come out on Thursday, January 25th.

The Office of Sustainability wants to hear from you! This event is a great opportunity to share your ideas about how we can build a sustainable campus.

There will be food/beverages PLUS a MOVIE, the 2017 American documentary film, An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, about former United States Vice President Al Gore’s continuing mission to battle climate change. It is the sequel to An Inconvenient Truth (2006).

Check out the poster below for details. We are looking forward to seeing you and hope you #getsustainable with us!
